In nature the two main sources of vitamin A are Retinol and Carotene. Retinol is pre-formed vitamin A and is found in animal foods such as liver and fish oils, produced by these animals from carotenes. Carotene is a natural source found in plants such as green leafy vegetables and carrots, which is converted in to vitamin A within our bodies. 90%-95% of vitamin A is stored in the liver.
